The SIA invites proposals for papers to be presented at the Annual Conference on Saturday, June 8, 2002 in Brooklyn, NY
Presentations on all topics related to industrial archeology are welcome.
The meeting coincides with the 150th anniversary of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), thus providing an excellent opportunity to explore and celebrate the region's outstanding civil engineering achievements.
The Metropolitan chapter of ASCE has been working with the SIA to organize a paper-session track on the region's public works projects, transportation systems, and industries.
A session on the bridges of Brooklyn and greater New York City is planned for the 19th Annual Bridge Symposium, cosponsored by the Historic American Engineering Record (HAER).
Paper proposals on topics related to the region's civil engineering heritage are strongly encouraged. All papers should offer interpretation on synthesis of data
