The nearest metropolitan New York airports are LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy International. Check to see which provides the lowest fare from your departure city.

Taxi fare from LaGuardia is about $25 and is about $30 from JFK. Be sure to get a taxi at the taxi stand and do not accept rides from illegal cab drivers prowling the terminals.

Public transportation is available from JFK. Take the Q10 bus to the subway at Lefferts Boulevard. Fare is $1.50 and transfer between bus and subway is free. Take the A train to the Jay Street stop in Brooklyn. Exit the station by following signs for Jay Street and MetroTech. You will be across the street from the back door of the Marriott.

By train:

Amtrak and NJ Transit trains arrive at Penn Station in Manhattan. Cab fare from Penn Station will run approximately $25. If you prefer to take public transit, the subway is accessible from the station and the fare is $1.50. Take the A (express) or C (local) in the downtown direction and get off at the Jay Street stop in Brooklyn (about a 20-minute ride). Exit the station by following signs for Jay Street and MetroTech. You will be across the street from the back door of the Marriott.

Metro-North trains arrive at Grand Central terminal. Cab fare will be about $20. To take the subway, get on the 4 or 5 train on the lower level, take it in the downtown direction and get off at the Boro Hall stop in Brooklyn. On exiting the subway, you will be on Joralemon Street, about a block and a half from the hotel.

By car:

Driving in New York City, due to congestion and the convenience of public transit, is not recommended. However, if you will be driving, please consult the Brooklyn Marriott website where an interactive feature will help you plan your route. Parking is available at the hotel for a fee of $15 per day.

For maps and more information on public transportation see New York Transit's website. Note that your registration includes a MetroCard good for unlimited rides on buses and subways for one week.
