Perhaps there was another reason why attendance was light. Almost
everyone who attended (and at least one who did not) was elected or
volunteered to serve the Chapter in one function or another. Although
ballots were mailed out to all members, only one was returned - and that
member attended the meeting. The officers and board of the Chapter, who
were voted in by a unanimous vote, are:

President: Andy Fahrenwald

Treasurer: Randy Hees

Secretary: Tony Meadow

Director: Noel Kirshenbaum

Director: Jay McCauley

Director: Nate Shugars

In accordance with our bylaws, the committees were staffed as follows
(additional committee members will be of course most welcome; watch out
we'll be recruiting at the next get together!):

Membership: Randy Hees, Andy Fahrenwald

Newsletter: Tony Meadow

Tours and Events: Tony Meadow, Noel Kirshenbaum, Randy Hees

Fundraising: Andy Fahrenwald

By a unanimous vote, the membership of the Chapter voted to retain the
spelling of Archæology (using the ligature of a+e), not Archeology as is
used in the name of the national organization.

The next meeting was scheduled to be at the Ardenwood Historic Farm on
June 7th at 11am. Later we discovered that once again a significant
number of our members could not attend, so it has been rescheduled to be
at the Ardenwood Historic Farm on June 14th at 11am.

A previously arranged tour was then attended by the remaining members
at the historic Patterson farm house.
