IA on paper

This column will feature IA content published in more traditional forms,

Archiveis a relatively new IA publication published in England. Issues
are published quarterly and cover a variety of topics. Articles from one
issue (Issue 8 - Dec 1995) include collier ships operated by Harveys of
Hayle, Taff Merthyr Colliery, 'The A to Z of Sailing Craft' - a series on the
types of sailing vessels found around the British Isles, the Cromhall Lime
Kilns, and the Aire and Calder Navigation Company. There are numerous
photographs which illustrate each article. There is a column reviewing
other IA publications. This is a good example of what a "popular" IA
publication could be. The articles all seem to be descriptive and, for the
most part, do not attempt to cover other aspects, such as organizational
structure, economics and finance of the particular business or industry.
Subscriptions in the UK are £24 (sorry - I don't know the rate for US
